4. Lenovo Legion 5 15 Gaming Laptop Under $1000
If you’re in the market for a good gaming laptop under 1000 dollars, this is an excellent choice. The Lenovo Legion 5 comes with powerful components like an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti GPU to go along with its 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution- all in one package!
The best part about this machine? It’s got an excellent CPU for those intensive tasks like content creation or gaming without sacrificing performance when you want something less demanding; strong GPU so your videos will look as good on screen as they sound in audio.
I’ll break down some of the details below.
Design & Build
Lenovo Legion 5 is a laptop with an eye-catching design, but it’s not the only thing that makes this laptop stand out.
In fact, there are many reasons to buy one – from its high build quality and impressive performance profile all the way down to how much lighter than others in its class it feels when holding or carrying around for long periods of time!
It has an aluminum body with the primary color being dark blue. It can also be customized to have any other color if desired by its user-base as well!
The design aesthetic may not seem too different than before but I found myself feeling differently about handling Legion 5 pro and this one.
The Legion 5 is a sleek, futuristic laptop that has been styled to match its predecessors. The interior is just as beautiful and has four zones for RGB lighting that flow from left to right. There’s also some cool touches you won’t find on other laptops.
The touchpad design will never get your hand tired while pressing buttons or the power button.
Touchpad & Keyboard
Typing on Lenovo Legion 5 15 is a pleasant surprise. The keyboard has a 1.5 millimeters of key travel, which is good for typing and gaming alike. The keyboard is the standard full size with a number pad.
One thing I really appreciate is the backlighting on the keyboard which is red in color and can be toggled on and off with FN + arrow up or down keys. The backlight does not have different settings, but it looks very nice when running games that have darker atmospheres.
The mousepad is also smooth and responsive, however, lags behind in comparison to its peers. The materials used in the touchpad feel cheap, and it is not as responsive as I would like.
The added texture of this touchpad feels nice when you do use it, but the overall experience with this touchpad does leave me wanting more.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050Ti is a decent GPU for gaming and even more so for this price. But it is not as good as the RTX 2060, which was not an option for this system anyway.
The Lenovo Legion 5 comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and 16GB of RAM to ensure excellent performance even on demanding tasks such as gaming or video editing.
The 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD ensures quick loading times of games or programs that need to be installed on the machine.
The computer will play current generation video games smoothly when set on high graphics settings and offers decent mobility when playing demanding titles such as Fortnite or Apex Legends.
When gaming at home will be an option by plugging in the wireless Xbox controller into one of the USB ports present on this machine.
The laptop can handle modern games at 1080p on high settings very well.
For most day-to-day activities, battery life will range between 3 and 4 hours depending on screen brightness, what kind of work you’re doing (loading heavy files will drain the battery quicker), and whether you have any power-saving features turned on.
Battery life is below average when watching videos, and doing anything graphics intensive will drain the battery quickly.
Lenovo claims that you can get around 5 hours of use when playing movies in a loop, but we weren’t able to replicate those numbers during our tests.
Audio & Speaker
The Legion 5 is a solid laptop for gamers, but its speakers don’t really carry the sound well and it lacks bass.
It’s not an amazing sounding system by any means – in fact, you can hear some muddling with higher frequency sounds such as sirens or drums from video games like Counter Strike: Global Offensive where they should be perfect because this type of sound effects is usually sharp on lower-end machines without much depth within them at all!
The speakers are located on the bottom of the laptop. If you’re going to be using the laptop on your lap, then this will cause sound to be muffled. Because of this, we recommend that you use it on a table or on another surface for an optimal listening experience.
The IPS display viewing angles are great and the anti-glare is good for most light conditions. The display image is crisp, bright, and detailed with great colour accuracy.
The Lenovo Legion 5 display has a standard aspect ratio of 16:10 and a maximum brightness level of 300 nits. You can adjust the color temperature from warm to cool by going into the settings within Windows itself if you prefer warmer colors.
The 1920 x 1080 resolution produces sharp images even though it’s not a retina screen which would make gaming look better due to higher pixel density. However, some games will have a lower picture quality because of this.
Finally, I’d like to summarize by saying that the Lenovo Legion 5 15 is a fantastic and good gaming laptop under $1000. It is a laptop for gamers looking for a decent performance that won’t drain them financially.
It has an AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB of RAM, NVMe SSD, GeForce RTX 3050Ti, and USB Type C which is the future of data transfer.
If you are not a gamer then this laptop might be overkill but if you are one or just want to get into it then I believe you will have enough power in your hands to do so with ease!

5. MSI GF63 – Budget Gaming Laptop For Game Lovers
This gaming laptop is the MSI’s product line of affordable gaming laptops, while not really ‘cheap’ compared to some other gaming laptops out there which are targeted towards the same market.
With the price range, this is what you get for your money depending on which model you pick up.
The gaming performance of MSI GF63 Thin is not for serious gamers that want to play high graphic game (recent games like PUBG, GTA5, etc.). While the laptop comes with NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti video card that can play recent games at least at medium-high graphical setting (“medium” is actually already enough for most people).
This article may give you an idea about which the most important specs for a gaming laptop.
The MSI GF63 Gaming Laptop delivers a mid-performance gaming experience. The system is optimized for graphics, delivering maximum fps in all of today’s medium games and able to play 3D videos without any lag or frame drops due to its Intel Core i5 processor combined with 8GB of memory provided by DDR4 RAM modules running at 2666MHz frequency which are easily upgradeable if you need more space on this laptop!
Some people might think that laptops are not the best choice for gaming because they only have a 60Hz screen, but when it comes to more intensive games like Fortnite or CSGO you’ll want your laptop equipped with all of its features.
First off I recommend plugging in and configuring things as loud/cold-depending on what kind of gameplay style suits you best (or if headphones should be plugged into their headphone jack).
Next, there’s no issue when playing casual titles since these don’t require high fps rates. However, if we’re talking about intense moments where every second counts then consider using an external GPU instead – this will help boost power from time to time to make things easier.
CPU and GPU
This good gaming laptop under 1000 uses Intel Core i5-9300H CPU which is a 9th Generation 4-core processor. It has a base frequency of 2.4 GHz and turbo frequencies up to 4GHz.
With Max Turbo Frequency, this CPU doesn’t need an additional cooling system since it can cool itself down well by staying within TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 45Watts for better performance during heavy load applications or intense gaming sessions.
The GPU of MSI GF63 thin 9RCX gaming laptop is NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti with 4GB GDDR5 Dedicated Memory that makes this laptop able to play some of the latest games at medium or high settings on its 15.6-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display.
This laptop has a battery life of around 5 hours maximum, depending on how you use it and what kind of applications you run (mainly gaming or video streaming while playing an intense game will decrease your battery life).
If we talk about full gaming experience then I recommend plugging in your laptop because it’s not like other ordinary laptops that can automatically switch off their dedicated GPUs when external GPUs are plugged in and allow them to automatically use their dedicated GPUs which keeps the battery life longer.
Build Quality & Design
The laptop has a solid-built quality, it weighs about 7.55 pounds making it a bit heavy compared to other laptops out there but this is not a big issue.
It’s designed for gamers who want a good build quality and design at an affordable price.
It weighs about the same as the Razer Blade 15 and Asus ROG GL 551. If you’re used to portability, this laptop may feel like a drag on your backpack or bag after a few hours of use (if you can even fit it in there).
However, it’s not supposed to be your travel buddy unless necessary with such high-performance components inside.
The design of the MSI GF63 thing gaming laptop looks so simple and sleek making it look like a regular laptop that’s why I recommend it to anyone who wants an ordinary design at such an affordable price, but this makes it vulnerable to fingerprints and dirt.

Wrap it up with a nice conclusion. MSI GF63 thin 9RCX gaming laptop is a good choice for casual gamers who want to experience the latest games at medium or high settings on their laptops but still want a decent frame rate.
It’s also a good choice for anyone who wants to do video editing or streaming while playing an intense game without crashing or lagging since this laptop has a fairly powerful CPU and GPU combination.

Keyboard & Mouse Pad
