For this particular gaming laptop, the new 8th-gen Intel i5 processor is a real energy-saving initiative. It offers much faster performance than last year’s 7th-Gen Kaby Lake version (since both are quad-core processors with HyperThreading). Yet at the same time the 8th-gen version consumes less power — not much more than the 7th gen one does.
This laptop processor comes in higher clock speeds than the older KabyLake i5-7300HQ which means it’s capable of running more tasks due to this difference in clock speed and it also happens to be faster than last years model.

The Nitro 5, with a 1080p Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark (highest settings), averaged 52 frames per second. The budget laptop average for this game was 36 fps. This was much faster than budget gaming laptop average (36 fps) and way ahead of ROG Strix G15’s score with Nvidia GeForce RTX 1650 Ti GPU at 40 fps.
GeForce GTX 1050 will let you play GTA and Rise of the Tomb Raider at Medium/High settings or other heavy games at normal settings.

Design
The Acer Nitro 5 has its pros and cons, but the look of it is not one of them. We like how it’s designed with gamer aesthetics in mind- red trimmings on keys, backlighting, trackpad and top bar!
More importantly still is how comfortable this laptop feels from a user perspective: specifically its key placement that makes typing much less strenuous than usual.
Its display hinges are sturdy, so they won’t slip down or break easily when you move your laptop around. To top it all off, the laptop’s trackpad is surprisingly bad. You might not expect much from a trackpad for gaming purposes, but we must say that this model’s touch pad is just awful.
4. Acer AN515-55 – Best $700 Budget Gaming Laptop
This is one of my favorite and in my opinion best gaming laptop under 700 dollars. Acer’s Nitro 5 laptop is a great budget computer with an attractive design and some impressive specifications. Its black chassis immediately identify it as part of the Nitro family, but Acer has tried to avoid overdoing it on the gamer theme by making its logo red without any LEDs.
This laptop is a treat – you know that right? It’s very easy to look at and it feels sturdy. The keyboard is equipped with thin bezels and a lit red keyboard (a nice touch!).
Another great feature of this laptop is its slim form factor. You can easily put it in your backpack when heading off to college or work. The color scheme is similar to Space Grey which means using the computer won’t feel like an eyesore!
CPU
The processor inside your laptop is a 2.50GHz quad-core Intel CPU that runs at 4.5GHz when it’s really needed, which improves performance and more than doubles the potential RAM speed from 2933MHz to 2666MHz!
GPU Performance
The Acer Nitro 5 comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU with 4GB of VRAM. This means the machine will be able to render Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla at 1080p, 53fps in Ultra mode. It also has some other benefits.
The GPU handily surpasses the average frame rate of 36 fps that most mainstream gaming laptops can manage, as well as any other laptops with the same NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics engine.
This laptop’s performance capabilities are far above that of your average gaming computer. Don’t be deceived by the underwhelming display of the Acer Nitro 5! This gaming laptop actually runs for almost four hours which is longer than you would expect from a budget laptop. We know that’s not enough, there’s an option to plug it in!
With the 10th-generation processor, no one needs to worry about sluggish speeds when playing as the laptop stays cool while playing games or editing photos and videos.
Whether you’re watching movies, playing games, or just browsing the internet, this machine beats most others in its league.
Display
With a 1920x1080p display, 144Hz refresh rate, and brightness level of 250nits, the Acer Nitro 5 offers competitive gamers a screen fit for their needs.
A faster screen won’t make up for slower hardware though (such as using older Intel HD graphics instead of NVIDIA graphics), but in some cases, faster frame rates are helpful to give you a smoother experience while you play. Games may also call for lower resolutions that look better on some screens, such as 1366×768 instead of 1080p.
For higher resolutions (2560×1440 or 4K), you will have to pay more than the Nitro 5.

I noticed some people reviewed that the battery life of this laptop is bad, but in reality anyone gaming on a laptop can’t get more than 2 hours mere unless you are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on it which doesn’t make sense when this system already comes with an SSD and Intel Optane Memory- all for less than $800!
Gaming Performance
The latest games like Fortnight, PUBG and Overwatch are designed to be streamed on your gaming console. The high graphics settings and powerful processing of this laptop make it a perfect companion for multitasking.
It can play Apex Legends, but you’ll need to lower the settings for it to work well. This laptop allows you to play games like Minecraft and Fortnite.

As a gamer, I know how hard it can be to maintain a consistent high-performance computing experience. For those of you who have either just started playing games or are former gamers who still need their fix, I sought to compare the HP Pavilion 15 laptop with other similar gaming computers in the same category and price range.
All of compared laptops feature six core processors except one which was Dell G5 15 SE. They use full strength graphics cards that are almost as powerful as what HP’s system offers but not quite as powerful .
Our testing found that the HP Pavilion Gaming 15 performed well in both productivity and creative programs (like Photoshop for example) when running at 1080p resolution with high image quality.
However, its Max-Q GPU does limit its capabilities especially when playing PC games, if you’re looking for a more immersive experience, as it fell behind competitors using real NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPUs.
Cool
If you’re looking for a device that will keep your parts cooled, without affecting sound or causing any issues, then this is the one. This device has been adjusted to prevent overheating, and it also has an IR sensor that adjusts its settings.
6. MSI GF63 Thin Gaming Laptop For Just Under $700
The GF63 Thin 9SC by MSI is a good 15-inch gaming laptop. Two key factors which make this device so popular are its slim design and great performance. This is just 2.2 cm thick, taking up minimal space on your desk.
Additionally, it has an 8 GB of RAM (which should be more than ample for most gamers) and a 256-GB SSD for access to your games; all for under $700!
The kind of competition for the MSI GF63 9SC is definitely fierce. In fact, that’s something you can appreciate if you actually check out the other 15-inch gaming notebooks such as the Dell G5 15 5590, the Acer Aspire Nitro 5 AN515, or even the HP Omen 15. Performance
MSI Gaming Laptops are a good choice for the price. But if you’d like something a bit more premium, you might want to consider the Acer Predator Helios 300 – though it will be able to play high graphically-intense titles than MSI Gaming Laptops.
The main difference between the two is that MSI laptops utilize an Intel Core i5 CPU with 8GB of memory and 256GB NVME M.2 SSD whereas the Acer Predator Helios 300 utilizes an Intel Core i7 going up to 4.5GHz when needed, alongside 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU paired with a smooth 144Hz display.
So while MSI laptops provide better performance when doing typical office work or playing games likes Sims 4 (Madden 19 and GTA V will run at medium settings on high framerates). The Acer Predator Helios 300 is better matched for graphics-intensive tasks like gaming at 60+ fps, photo/video editing, rendering, or running virtual machines of course !!!!
Design
The MSI GF63 is almost a carbon copy of the GS65 Stealth. It features a beautiful design from head to toe, with materials fit for a flagship machine that’s been carefully placed. If you like the beauty of premium machines like MSI typically offers but can’t afford the price on those high-end gaming laptops then this might be the one you’re looking for!
The MSI GF63 Thin looks similar but is much cheaper than the GS65 Stealth Thin (last year’s model).
Battery Life
One of the main concerns about the MSI GF63 is its battery life. While most people don’t have to spend their days gaming with it, casual gamers will likely not be thrilled to learn that it only lasts for about 4-5 hours before needing a charge.
At least though, you can double down on doing some light work or school projects if you aren’t a heavy gamer like me and don’t use it as often, and once you do need to recharge, not playing games makes charging a whole lot faster.
Still though, if you’re really looking for something long-lasting, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming Laptop which lasts around 7-8 hours off one charge!
Affordable
MSI’s 15.6″ gaming laptop is the definition of a budget powerhouse. At $695.99, it’s incredibly affordable for an excellent piece of equipment, which makes it suitable for novices and long-time enthusiasts alike. And at 7.63 lbs, this laptop will help you get around without all the extra weight!
All that being said, it does come with some shortcomings to keep in mind when considering its specs. The battery life isn’t ideal for anyone who likes to leave their computer on or doesn’t have access to a power source while using it.
Nonetheless, if you prioritize performance over portability, then MSI’s GF63 15.6″ is definitely something worth looking into!
7. ASUS FX706LI Top Rated Gaming Laptop
The Asus TUF Gaming F17 FX706LI-ES53 is an affordable machine for people who want a stylish gaming laptop that is mobile and welcoming like a 17-inch desktop display. For under $900 it’s capable of doing just about everything you’d want in a console replacement.
The best part is that its price tag makes it a compelling purchase for both casual and mid-range gamers alike. We found this laptop to be well designed but at the same time great in performance.
Gaming Performance
We’ve been looking forward to the TUF Gaming model F17 ever since we heard those rumors regarding its specs. Though it’s still not an ideal gaming laptop when it comes to price/performance ratio, though we are disappointed that it’s not as potent in gaming capabilities as some would like.
Its Intel Core i5-10300H CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU make it an entry-level device, but you are going to have to be patient with it. It will not deliver an outstanding performance, compared to the other devices – the Acer Predator Helios 300 and MSI Pulse GL66, both equipped with more-powerful RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 GPUs.
Despite its entry-level nature, the TUF Gaming F17 is a fairly capable performer that delivers improved performance over last year’s GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards.
Although it may not be able to play AAA games at their highest settings, this laptop will easily suffice for both eSports and indie titles which tend to run well even at medium graphics settings.
For example, Far Cry: New Dawn (excellent fps at high settings), or Hitman 3 (good Avg FPS above 60 fps) can be enjoyed in HD resolution on this device without any problems at medium or high graphic presets.
Design

In terms of affordability and cheap pc, this is one of the best gaming laptop under 700 dollars. Teclast’s housing is a combination of aluminum and plastic. The stability is decent but not outstanding for this price range; some peers offer more stable cases.
However, the hinge creaks somewhat and does not seem very well-adjusted – it wobbles quite noticeably when you touch the screen. The keyboard has only painted keys (not backlit or illuminated) and produces some typewriter noise as you type.
If we ignore these disadvantages, we can say that the keyboard functions quite well and Touchpad was also impeccable; emulating different clicks such as right, double right, right-click and even shift worked without any problems.
